Founded in 2020, the Altrosero name was inspired by the bonding that Culture With Us CEO Alexandra Schrecengost did with her sons and husband (Altrosero = Alex + Troy + Sean + Rome) while they all worked and learned together from home during the pandemic and the line was created in honor of how much they missed making family and friends feel as loved and appreciated as they are in celebration of gathering everyone around a table again. Culture With Us is a company that promotes and supports small businesses and underrepresented communities, working with diverse, sustainability-focused companies, including women-, LGBTQIA+, and Black-owned businesses.
Altrosero's Zinfandel is sourced from sustainably-grown vineyards in Sonoma County that practice organic farming. This Zinfandel pours a deep ruby red in the glass. Beautifully expressive aromas of cherries, plum and bramble fruit explode from the glass. The palate is bold and intense, lushly textured, yet balanced. Those dark red fruit flavors intermingle with notes of fresh herbs and baking spice. Delicate acidity and juicy tannins carry this delightful Zin through to a long, velvety finish. Enjoy with homemade pizzas (any variety), smoked brisket, or for the adventurous, pair with a spicy curry.
