P. Dubreuil-Fontaine Père et Fils — one of our flagship Burgundy producers — was established in 1879; five generations later, it is managed by Christine Gruère-Dubreuil, and her husband, Nicolas Gruère, along with their daughter, Clementine, who has officially joined her mother in the vineyards and cellar. Superb winemaking tradition and an intense love of their land has enabled the estate to rise to epic status, using the family motto, “Pleasure and passion carry on…” as a guideline for success. This family has spent nearly a century and a half chasing perfection, and that fact is beautifully evident in each new vintage from this unforgettable estate.
Les Crenilles Bourgogne blanc is fermented and aged in 25% used oak with the remainder in stainless steel. Light gold in the glass, this 100% Chardonnay offers beautiful aromas of citrus-kissed, white orchard fruits accented with a hint of honeysuckle. The slight-rounded palate displays flavors of Yellow Delicious apple, Bosc pear and lime zest complemented by a soft, chalky mineral note. There is a delightful brightness in the refreshing finish that call you back for another sip. Enjoy with pasta primavera, cedar-planked salmon or mild/soft cheeses.
