Bairaktaris is a small family winery in Nemea, the leading appellation on the Peleponnese. Here, the family specializes in Agiorgitiko, arguably the most noble Greek red grape. The winery practices sustainable agriculture with no use of chemicals in the vineyard. At least 80% of grapes come from the 15 ha of estate owned vineyards, most at 850m altitudes in the Koutsi subregion of Nemea. Monolithos is 100% Agiorgitiko, vinified in a noveau style, which makes a youthful, fruit-filled wine that is refreshing and easy to drink.
