Domaine Santa Giulietta has belonged to the Stefani family since 1870. Today, Christian Orsucci — the mayor of Tallone — runs this 75 hectare property on the plateau of Pianiccia (on the Eastern plain of Corsica). The vineyards are planted in soils of red clay and limestone and benefit from a climate and sun exposure that are optimal for the good maturity of the grapes: hot and windy summer days and cool nights due to the proximity of the mountains.
The Corse Rosé is a blend of 40% Niellucciu, 35% Sciaccarellu and 25% Grenache fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. The gorgeous rosé is light pink in color with copper highlights and emits lovely aromas of fresh white cherry and ripe strawberries with a lovely savory/spicy undertone. The palate is fresh and vibrant with loads of energy and refreshment complemented by an elegant, salice-laced finish. Perfect for all light fare off the grill: assorted sausages (try Merguez or chorizo), marinate shrimp or scallop kebobs or dry-rubbed chicken thighs.
