Domaine Corsin is now in its fifth genration of family leadership which began in the late 19th century. The Corsin family has always been one of the highest quality producers in the south of Burgundy, creating some of the most outstanding Chardonnay's in the region from the communes of Davayé, Fuissé and Solutré. It would not be a stretch to say that their wines set a benchmark that others measure themselves by. The estate consists of 13.6 hectares of vines planted in the appellations of Mâcon, Saint Veran, and Pouilly-Fuissé. All of their production is dedicated to the Chardonnay grape.
The Chardonnay grapes for the Mâcon-Villages are planted in clay-limestone soils around the village of Davayé and Solutré. The plot where the grapes come from, Les Prés Cousins, is one of the oldest cultivated plots in the area. All grapes are harvested manually and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel vats then matured in tank on the fine lees. Light gold in color, this Mâcon-Villages is light and fresh with citrus flavors and a broad, refreshing acidity.
