Bott Frères is located in the village of Ribeauvillé, in the heart of Alsace. Since 1835, some of the oldest wine know-how has been transmitted from generation to generation. Today, Nicole and Laurent Bott run this venerable Alsatian estate. The Bott family does not manufacture wine, it cultivates it. On the estate's vineyards, seven varieties are grown and produced in a wide array of soils and the subsequent wines made in a range of styles. The grape harvest is undertaken manually and the output is monitored in order to produce high quality wines. The Blanc de Noirs is a new Crémant for Bott Frères, developed by Paul Pierre Gustave Bott, the next generation of the Bott family. Since 2019, the estate has been in transition to organic certification.
The Blanc de Noirs is made from 100% Pinot Noir. The wine pours a light gold in the glass with copper highlights and a fine, persistent bead of tiny bubbles. Aromas of toast, tart red berries and chalky minerality waft from the glass. On the palate, this is a sparkler that refreshes. The acidity is bright and vibrant, the bubbles tiny and tactile. The midpalate is awash with red berry fruits that flow effortlessly into a crisp, mineral finish. The body is perfectly balanced with the acidity, giving the wine an ease of drinkability that is perfect for any reason to drink bubbly: as an apéritif, with appertizers or light main courses, and, of course, to pop and party!
