Established in 1948, Cascina delle Rose sits on five hectares, of which three are planted with Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo. It is an incredibly immaculate and meticulously-run estate. The family practices organic farming — the utmost respect given to the earth — with all the vine care done manually. Their logo, sketched by a close friend, depicts a real-life encounter between their dog, Patata, their cat, Mimi, and a swallow. It perfectly represents the harmony they strive to achieve with their land and in their wines.
The Tre Stelle Barbaresco is made from 100% Nebbiolo from the Tre Stelle vineyard. The wine is a wonderful expression of Barbaresco and one the purest examples of Nebbiolo to be found in the appellation. Aromas of mixed red berries, flowers and spice explode from the glass. On the palate there is a gorgeous balance of power and elegance with silky tannins and high levels of integrated, refreshing acidity. The finish is long and lean. A truly exceptional Cru Barbaresco from one of the best small, artisanal producers.
