Palivou Estate is a multigenerational winemaking family with deep ties to farming and winemaking in the Nemea region on Peloponnese. The estate was founded by George and Aggeliki Palivou in the early 1990's, and today George and Aggeliki's daughters, Evangelia and Vassiliki, are taking over the farming and winemaking. Their wines have become recognized among the best in Greece and are found on wine lists all over the country. Evangelia has a degree in oenology/chemistry and Vassiliki manages marketing and business operations; together they are a formidable sister duo. The Palivou Estate is certified organic, while also utilizing biodynamic practices. They own all of their vines and do not buy any fruit from other growers. Each of their labels is a single vineyard selection that looks to highlight the quality and precision each site and their vineyard work.
Anemos is a blend of 70% Roditis and 30% Moschofilero vinified in stainless steel. Vibrant aromas of fresh apples, pears, pineapple and lemon blossoms with a hint of white pepper plume from the glass. On the palate, the wine offers a generous, round mouthfeel that is perfectly balanced by a crisp, lively acidity. Pair with fresh green vegetables, grilled fish and white pizza.
