Located on the island of Paros, Moraitis is one of only two wineries on the island (the other is the co-op). The estate consists of 35 hectares of organic vineyards, all planted on their own rootstock since phylloxera has never found its way onto the island. Founded in 1910, Theodore Moraitis is the 4th generation of his family to run the estate.
Sillogi is a blend of 50% Assyrtiko and 50% Malagousia fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. In the glass, the wine displays a vibrant light gold color with aromas of ripe honeydew melon, Yellow Delicious apple and hints of white pepper. The palate is zesty and full of flavor with excellent depth and length. Enjoy with a cucumber and tomato salad smothered in fresh herbs.
