Domaine Migot is a small, 5-hectare family estate located near the Moselle River in the Côtes du Toul (a small, roughly 100-hectare appellation granted AOC status in 1998) of Lorraine, France. Camile Migot is the 13th generation of his family to farm in the region; his first vintage was in 2013. Camile's vineyards are certified organic, all grapes are hand-harvestd, and all wines are fermented with native yeasts. His wines are energetic and pure, showcasing an exceptional balance of minerality, acidity, texture and fruit concentration.
Prior to Champagne enforcing its geographic limits, grapes from Lorraine were regularly sold to the Champenoise for use in their sparkling wines, so to say Côtes du Toul has a history of sparkling wine grape growing is an understatement! Christophe's Method Traditonelle is made from 100% Gamay. Light salmon in the glass with aromas of crunchy red berries, fresh bread dough and candy apple. The palate is light and refreshing with an abundance of energy carried by a taught mineral core and zesty fruit concentration with an added floral complexity to the long finish. A surprisingly delicious sparkling wine that is almost too easy to drink!
