Château de la Selve is a 44-hectare biodynamic estate located in Ardèche in the Rhône Valley. The Château itslef was originally a stronghold on the borders of the Empire and Kingdom of France. It was then the hunting lodge for the Dukes of Joyeuse before eventually converting to a farm and vineyard. The vineyards are planted to Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier on the region's clay-limestone soils. Farming organically and biodynamically provides healthy soil life and helps improve the vine's natural defenses which, combined with minimal intervention in the cellar, lead to incredible minerality, finesse and terroir stamp in Château de la Selve's wines.
