One of the hallmarks of Château Lynch-Bages, the legendary Pauillac Grand Cru Classé, is the wine’s approachability, even in youth. We have never been able to pinpoint what exactly makes Lynch-Bages so drinkable, so soft and so delicious when young. Perhaps it is something in their vineyard location, the soil, a vinification technique, or maybe a combination of the three? We're not sure, but we know there is a secret to the sauce.
What we are certain of, is that the 2015 Lynch-Bages provides some of the best early drinking we’ve ever experienced from a Cru Classé estate. The 2015 vintage is lauded as one of Bordeaux’s best this century, and with Lynch-Bages’ it is easy to see why: power, elegance, harmony and concentration. Antonio Galloni of Vinous and Robert Voss of Wine Enthusiast agree – both gave the wine 96 points, one of Lynch-Bages highest ratings ever, with Galloni proclaiming it “one of the finest Pauillacs of 2015”!
The 2015 Lynch-Bages is the perfect Pauillac: an impressive balance of delectable fruit intensity with complexity and depth; ripe, soft tannins complemented by vibrant energy; and a long, decadent finish that mesmerizes the senses. This combination of a superior vintage and an estate with such historic pedigree result in a truly singular wine not to be missed.
