Castellucci Miano has a mission: to rediscover original Sicilian wine, restore the ancient vines of the territory, and produce monovarietal wines that express its soul by using old vines, native grapes, microclimates, low yields, sustainable agriculture, and estate bottling at the origin. They have been called “the tailors of Sicilian wine” because their wines are like a custom-tailored suit: striking, precise, and detailed.
The Castellucci Maino Miano is a stunning 100% Catarratto from the slopes of the Madonie Mountains in Sicily, at an altitude between 700-900 meters on alkaline sandy and clay soils. The grapes are fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. Light lemon color with aromas and flavors of fresh citrus, apple, pear, cantaloupe and sea salt. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied with ultra-crisp acidity and a smooth texture that leads into a clean finish with loads of mouth-watering refreshment. A fabulous seafood wine.
