Located in Valencia, Spain, Bodegas Nodus is an organic estate the produces a range of delicious wines from their 200 hectares of vines in the Utiel-Requena D.O. Founded in 1985, the estate grows the local Bobal grape alongside other Spanish varietals like Garnacha, Tempranillo and Macabeo with international grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay. This mix of innovation and tradition has helped Nodus become one of the most prestigious estates in the region.
The Nodus Chavalote is a blend of Tempranillo from sandy soils and Garnacha from clay soils, fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak barrels for 3 months. Chavalote refers to children, and this is one of the estates young, or joven, wines meant for immediate consumption. Light ruby in color with garnet highlights, the wine emits lovely aromas of blackberry fruit, strawberry and raspberry with subtle notes of spice and vanilla. On the palate, the Tempranillo gives the wine freshness and energy while the Garnacha provides depth and weight to this incredibly vibrant, easy drinking red. Enjoy with paella, simple meat dishes or fatty fish.
