Azienda Agricola Parla was founded in Serdiana, Sardinia in 1950. Today, Mario Parla — along with his wife, Rita, and their children Massimiliano, Elisabetta and Mariantonietta — is the third generation of his family to manage the estate. The winery continues to be family owned and the values of tradition and innovation are being passed down from Mario to the family's fourth generation. The estate consists of eight different vineyards with a total of 68 hectares under vine on soils of limestone, limestone-marl or white sand. Each vineyard is planted with varietals that are chosen according to the microclimate and soil type of the individual site. Pala practices organic farming in the vineyard and does not use chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
The I Fiori Vermentino is 100% Vermentino from 35 year-old vines grown in calcareous soils, fermented and aged in stainless steel vats. Light lemon color in the glass with beautiful aromas of white flowers, melon, fresh citrus, sea-spry and herbs. The palate is incredibly refreshing with a lively acidity that allows the wonderful citrus zest, herbal and mineral flavors to flow across the palate into a persitent finish. Enjoy with delicate fish dishes or a seafood stew.
