2011 Chad Wine Company - Pinot Noir Reserve
In the glass, the Chad Carneros Reserve Pinot Noir 2011 has a dark ruby-red color, saturated, even at the edge. Wild cherries, red raspberries, rhubarb, and cloves move in and out of the background, along with a fleeting suggestion of citrus and cocoa as the nose evolves in the glass. On the palate, the wine is juicy and vibrant, with a generous sweet core of dark red and black fruit, all bracketed with cool vintage vibrancy. Drink now – 2017, at cellar temperature out of a good large Burgundy glass. And give it time. This classic Carneros Pinot Noir is another example of a wine that puts on weight as it evolves in the glass.
