Château Clerc Milon, a 5th Growth Pauillac estate, remained in obscurity until its acquisition by Baron Philippe de Rothschild in 1970. The château, which is actually a small, non-descript house, is located in the small hamlet of Mousset, in northern Pauillac. Clerc Milon's 32 hectares of vineyards are located on a gravel ridge between the vineyards of Mouton-Rothschild and Lafite-Rothschild. Clerc Milon is now owned by Baronne Philipine de Rothschild, with Patrick Léon as managing and technical director.
97 Points — Jeb Dunnuck
"...finest example of the château I've tasted, deep purple-hued with a sensational perfume of crème de cassis, spring flowers, spicy oak, and graphite. It's full-bodied, concentrated, has a weightless mouthfeel, and beautiful tannins, all making for a riveting Pauillac. This is another truly special 2022."
