Château Noaillac is located in the commune of Jau-Dignac-Loirac in the northern part of the Médoc appellation. Since 2013, the estate has been owned by the Pagès family, when the father-son team of Marc and Xavier Pagès purchased the property. Today, the estate is managed by Xavier's son Damien and his wife Béatrice. Together, they sustainably farm 49 hectares (HVE Level 3-certified) planted to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot in clay-limestone soils. The estate achieved their Cru Bourgeois Supérieur rating in the 2025 classification.
The Château Noaillac pours a deep purplish-red, offering vibrant, red berry fruits on the nose, mingling with hints of cigar box, crushed stone and pencil shavings. The medium-bodied palate displays lush, dark fruits — plum, blackberry and cassis — accented with notes of light spice and sweet tobacco. Supported by fine, suave tannins, this wine coasts along a subtle mineral undertone all the way to a long, delectable finish. Pair with steak frites or braised lamb shanks with rosemary.

This 113-acre estate has been owned for three generations by the Pagès family. Rich tannins contrast with the spicy, toasty flavor that will soften into the ripe black-currant fruits. Drink this wine from 2022.

Ripe berries with sandalwood and cinnamon notes, following through to a medium body, firm and lightly chewy tannins and a medium finish. A little reserved now. Try after 2020.
