Champagne Pertois-Moriset — established in 1951 — is an independent family estate located in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The Champagne house was founded by the husband-and-wife team of Yves Pertois and Janine Moriset, who both grew up in winemaking families from the Côte de Blancs. The couple’s son, Dominique, and his wife Florence soon joined the grower-producer tradition. Today, Pertois-Moriset is managed by Yves and Janine’s granddaughter Cécile and her husband Vincent. Together, they sustainably farm nearly 21 hectares of vineyards planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Pertois-Moriset is one of fewer than 30 members of the prestigious Club Trésors de Champagne, a highly selective set of grower-producers entitled to produce a Special Club bottling—one of the greatest honors in Champagne.
Pertois-Moriset made this wine to celebrate their return to the Club Trésors de Champagne, a prestigious group of artisan winemakers. It shows fresh mineral and chalk aromas-as well as a creamy, delicate palate and toasty structure-from Chardonnay grown on the house's best sites in the Grand Cru village of Mesnil-sur-Oger. On the nose this has a mineral, creamy chalk, fresh aroma. The palate has an aromatic, creamy, delicate, mineral, nutty, rich/intense, toasty structure.
