Denis Dubourdieu was known as the "Pope of White Wine" and the "Professor of Bordeaux", where he consulted at such prestigious estates as Châteaux d'Yquem, Margaux, Cheval Blanc, Pichon Longueville Comtesse and Carbonnieux, just to name a few. He has received the Legion d'Honneur from the French Government, was named Decanter magazine’s 2016 Man of the Year and was the oenology editor of the most recent edition of the Oxford Companion to Wine. Dubourdieu was the world’s most well-known and respected academic-winemaker; a man whose works have been cited over 7,000 times globally and one who has trained some of the top winemakers in the world today. Though to truly understand Denis Dubourdieu's genius and passion for his wines, you need look no further than his flagship estate: Château Doisy-Däene.
Mid-gold in color, this beauty emits intense aromas of exotic and stone fruits mixed with notes of honeysuckle and spice. The palate is broad and rich, spreading across the tongue with flavors of candied apricots, pineapple and Mirabelle plum. Punctuated by a vibrant acidity, this Sauternes exhibits delightful balance, a perfect interchange of freshness and complexity.

A dense wine, rich and full of ripe fruits, this has intense honey and young spice and tropical fruits. Its balance is completed by the wine's acidity and fresh aftertaste. Drink from 2027.
