Yquem is located on the highest hill in Sauternes and is bestowed with the best conditions for ripening grapes and the development of noble rot. The vineyards consist of 110 hectares planted with 75% Sèmillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc on a pebble and gravel topsoil over a clay subsoil. All grapes are hand harvested over multiple passes through the vineyard. The wine is fermented in 100% new French oak and aged in barrel for 36 months until bottling. The resulting wines can age for decades and are amongst the most coveted in the world.

Deep gold in the glass, d'Yquem's 2013 vintage explodes with heady aromas of honeyed stone and tropical fruits interweaved with vanilla and spice. On the palate, sumptuous flavors of candied yellow plums, caramelized pineapple and peach marmalade dusted with warm spice. There is a lovely balance of bright acidity and unctuousness that complements those delicious fruits, guiding them to a delightfully textured finish.
