Aljoscha Goldschimdt is the owner and winemaker of Corzano e Paterno. This picturesque estate lies in the commune of San Pancrazio, just outside of Florence. Joshi is a farmer first; his 14 hectares of pristine vineyards are organically tended and are cropped at a low yield. Following the lead of Paolo de Marchi of Isole e Olena, Aljoscha has planted the new, high quality Sangiovese clones with tight spacing in order to create wines of distinction and elegance. In addition to the vineyards, the 200 acre Corzano e Paterno estate crafts olive oils and sheep's milk cheese under Joschi's leadership, though the next generation of his family is taking an increased role in the vineyard and cellar.
