Masintín is an old Inca word for "what is realized, not what stays in theory".
Vinos Masintín was founded in 2017 by three wine enthusiasts from Belgium and one Chilean winemaker, Diego Urra Gosselin. Together, they aim to produce small-scale, honest wines from forgotten sites in Chile from the Maule and Itata Valley. Masintín sources all their grapes from old vines and non-irrigated parcels owned by small farmers who they support in their move to regenerative farming. They harvest País, Cariñena and Garnacha from Maule Valley and Cinsault, Moscatel and País from Itata Valley.
Vinos Masintín's Blanco de Itata — a roughly 2:1 blend of Moscatel and Sémillon — offers a pretty and vibrant bouquet of Golden Delicious apple, spiced pear and white flowers. The palate showcases this blanco's pure refreshment with a exceedingly pleasant acidity, subtle minerality and a zesty citrus note, finishing clean and crisp. Enjoy with seafood appetizers, light pastas or grilled chicken over a mixed green salad.

A simple semillon and moscatel blend that shows a rather soapy nose with light, acidic fruit. White peaches and orange blossoms in a crisp, simple finish. Drink now.
