Molino Real’s MR is crafted from 100% Moscatel grapes sourced from nine hectares of vaso bush-trained vines grown on steep, schist slopes. These vines, which sit at elevations between 350 and 1000 meters, are located around the village of Cómpeta in the rugged Axarquía region in Málaga. Grapes are sun-dried in a process known as asoleo, where they are laid on pasera (reed mats) until they reach the desired level of dehydration. Grapes are raisinated down to as much as 25% their original weight, then pressed in ancient presses, formerly used for olive oil production, and finally fermented and aged in stainless steel.
