Domaine Pérol is a family estate founded in 1912 in the village of Chatillon d'Azergues in southern Beaujolais named after the golden colored limestone found in the village. All of the estate's wines come from their own vineyards which have been certified organic since 2005. Anthony Pérol is the fifth generation vigneron of the domain, having taken over from his father, Frederic, in 2013 when he was only 23 years old.
Pérol's Beaujolais Nouveau is made from 100% Gamay that has been hand-harvested and fermented whole-cluster in concrete tanks. The grapes are grown using biodynamic practices on soils of sandstone, sand and silt. The wine is fresh and fruity, meant to be enjoyed young, immediately after release. This is the ultimate Glou Glou wine!
