Domaine Cornu-Camus is located in the tiny village of Echevronne, located in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune. In 1981 Pierre Cornu married Bernadette Camus to form the domaine which today consists of over 12 hectares. Their daughter, Lydia, co-manages the domaine with her parents. In 2009, her husband Christophe joined the team, and together the family takes care of all aspects of production in the vineyard and the cellar. Vines are grown along organic principles with all grapes being hand-harvested.
Cornu-Camus' Savigny-lès-Beaune blanc pours a light gold color with pale green highlights. White orchard and stone fruits dominate the nose, highlighted with a touch of white flowers and a toasted note. The palate is medium-bodied, showcasing flavors of poached pear, white peach and sautéed apple. These rich fruits are balanced by an invigorating acidity that carries long through this beautiful blanc's clean and refreshing finish. Perfect for a mixed fried seafood plate, though equally at home paired with light chicken dishes, especially ones with buttery or creamy sauces.
