Mitravelas' Red on Black is made from 100% Agiorgitiko (all wines that are labeled as Nemea by law must be made exclusively from this grape). The wine pours a deep ruby with purple highlights. Aromas of plum, ripe blackberry, figs and fresh herbs waft from the glass. On the palate, the wine is dense, energetic and packed with flavor. The tannins are mouthcoating and concentrated, perfectly balanced by a subtle, broad acidity that fills the mouth with flavors of blackberries and baked cherries. The finish is long and powerful, accented with a taste reminiscent of blueberry pie. There is great depth and richness to the wine. Enjoy with lamb kebabs, spiced beef pies or moussaka with roasted mushrooms.
