Shypoke calls the Calistoga AVA home. Their estate vineyard is located in the north-western corner of Napa Valley. The dirt to bottle history began in 1904, when Peter Heitz' great-grandparents immigrated from Alsace and literally planted roots and built bonded winery #103 for the production of fine wines. Through five generations of grape growers and winemakers, the Heitz family has continued the vision and efforts begun in 1904. Each wine honors the traditions of a family working together, to farm heirloom vines and to hand craft the resulting fruit into uniquely elegant and honest wines of place and vintage.

Quilie's Grenache is made from 100% Grenache grown on the Poor Ranch in Mendocino. The vines were planted in 1950 and have been farmed organically without irrigation ever since. This Grenache displays beautiful red fruits on the nose, accented by notes of black tea and spice. The palate is full of raspberry and pomegranate flavors complemented by an earthy minerality and suave tannins. Delicate with compelling balance, the wine displays lifted red fruit, spice box and intensity in its finish while dealing restraint.
