Gérald Lafont and Baptiste Olivier are known throughout France as two of the Rhône Valley's top oenologists. Their consulting work for many of the best estates throughout the region and in Provence has given them access to a percentage of the grape yield from some of the highest acclaimed vineyards in the region. Their collective wine-making knowledge and experience, combined with their access to some of the top fruit in the region, allows them to consistently create some of the best value wines in the Rhône today.

A luscious 50-50 blend of Grenache Blanc and Clairette makes this Châteauneuf-du-Pape a wine perfectly suited for the chilly autumn weather. The age of the vines plays a significant role in the sumptuous flavor that you'll find in the wine: The roots of 30-40 year-old vines have grown so deeply into the soil that they pull supreme expression and flavor from the depths of one of the world's most renowned terroirs. The nose is full of ripe pear and stone fruit accented by hints of white flowers. On the palate, the wine is front-loaded with tropical and citrus fruit flavors, transitioning to a round, yet focused mid-palate highlighted by delicate acidity and a fine mineral freshness, which are present throughout but really shine during the lengthy finish. Enjoy with fish in a cream sauce, seared duck breast or other roast poultry.

This really youthful white Chateauneuf-du-Pape has a fantastic interplay of restrained buttery richness and vibrant mineral freshness. With a little aeration in the glass, aromas of ripe pears, melon and mandarin oranges expand dramatically. Medium- to full-bodied, this is very focused, the 14.5% alcohol barely perceptible. I love the positively austere, wet-stone finish. Excellent aging potential. Drinkable now but best from 2026.
