Liquid Farm — a project of Jeff Nelson, James Sparks and Brian Evans — began in 2009 with four barrels of wine. Focused primarily on Chardonnay, Liquid Farms aims to craft cool-climate wines reminiscent of the old world classics but with fruit from the Sta. Rita Hills and Santa Maria Valley AVA's of Santa Barbara County, California. The name Liquid Farm symbolizes the journey of wine from vineyard to glass: liquid from farming. The wines are made with minimal intervention, little to no new oak and no additives or machines to manipulate the final product.
