Marco Marrocco, a former engineer and the owner of Palazzo Tronconi, spent many happy hours as a child with his father and grandparents in Arce, Lazio. He felt the call of the land later in life, returning as an adult to acquire 2.5 hectares of vineyards in 2010. From the beginning, Marco set out to work the vineyards as naturally as possible (he gained Demeter biodynamic certification in 2015) and promote, regenerate and facilitate the reemergence of Lazio's native grapes. Today, the estate is 14 hectares, and Marco's diligent work in the vineyards has helped to rejuvenate varietals such as Lecinaro, Capolongo, Maturano, Pampanaro and Raspato Nero. In the cellar, wines are fermented with native yeasts and made without fining and filtration with minimal sulfur added at bottling.

The name Arrà-iete, which comes from the local Arcase dialect, means "wonder and amazement", a feeling you definitely get after taking a sip. Made from 100% Lecinaro grown on hillside vineyards of limestone-clay soils in Arce. The wine is produced as natural as possible: All grapes are hand harvested and fermented with native yeasts, no fining or filtration, a small amount of sulfur added before bottling and aged for 15 months in 25-hectoliter oak tanks. In the glass, the wine shows a brilliant mid-purple color with lovely aromas of fresh plums, red flowers, savory pepper and spice notes with a touch of minerality. The palate is bursting with energy and refreshment, balanced by a light tannic grip and explosion of juicy fruit flavors that cascade into a lip-smacking finish. Arrà-iete is medium-bodied with a rustic charm, yet is still agile, fresh and incredibly easy to drink — you can even enjoy it slightly chilled.
