Madonnabruna was founded in 1967 by Ferruccio Petracci when he bought his first vineyards in the hills around Fermo, near the Adriatic sea, in Le Marche. In 1978, after Ferruccio's death in a car accident, his son, Paolo, took over the estate and achieved his father's dream of making estate wines when he released the first bottle of Madonnabruna in 2002 (prior, all fruit had been sold). Today, Paolo's son Carlo works with him at the estate, which is certified organic and certified low environmental impact farming. The estate focus is on the local, traditional grape varieties Passerina, Pecorino, and Montepulciano.

The Madonnabruna Maree is made from 100% Pecorino from vineyards in the Lapedona hills around Fermo. All grapes are hand harvested, then fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. Light gold in color with exotic fruit aromas, this charming wine delivers exceptional balance of energy, persistence and a soft, round mouthfeel. Enjoy with a seafood stew.
