Domaine Glinavos is in the Greek appellation Zitsa in northwestern Greece. Lefteris Glinavos founded his winery in 1978 after completing his viticultural studies in Bordeaux. The domaine focuses on making wine from the local grapes of Zitsa: Debina, Vlahiko and Bekari. In 1990, Lefteris' son, Thomas, joined the domaine, and has since helped Domaine Glinavos become one of the most celebrated estates in Greece.

The Glinavos Bekari is made from 100% Bekari, a red grape indigenous to Epirus, which is rare to see as it is usually part of a blend. The wine sits a deep red color in the glass, emitting a rich bouquet of dark berry fruit. The palate is light-bodied with flavors of plum and blackberry buoyed by a bright acidity. Perfect pairing for lamb gyros or stuffed grape leaves.
