Chenonceaux - Blanc

Château de Quinçay is a family estate located on the southern hillsides of the Cher river in Meusnes in the heart of the Loire Valley. The winery was established in 1860 by General Charles Cadart who inherited the property and became a winemaker after retiring from the army. Today, Château de Quinçay is run by the sixth generation of the family who farm 30 hectares of vines grown on flint-rich soils in the Touraine and Valençay appellations. While environmental conservation is a primary concern — the vineyards are managed using sustainable viticulture (certified Terra Vitis) — the Cadart family's driving force is to preserve the traditions of the region and the passion and spirit of the family business.

The Quinçay Chenonceaux — 100% Sauvignon Blanc — pours a brilliant straw yellow emitting gorgeous aromas of sweet citrus and white flowers. The palate is awash with flavors of tangerine and Meyer lemon that ride across the tongue complemented by a flinty minerality and filigree acidity. This Sauvignon finishes vibrant and refreshing. Try with sheep's milk cheeses, an endive salad with roasted beets and goat's cheese or yuzu-glazed salmon and couscous.
