Champagne Pertois-Moriset — established in 1951 — is an independent family estate located in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The Champagne house was founded by the husband-and-wife team of Yves Pertois and Janine Moriset, who both grew up in winemaking families from the Côte de Blancs. The couple’s son, Dominique, and his wife Florence soon joined the grower-producer tradition. Today, Pertois-Moriset is managed by Yves and Janine’s granddaughter Cécile and her husband Vincent. Together, they sustainably farm nearly 21 hectares of vineyards planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Pertois-Moriset is one of fewer than 30 members of the prestigious Club Trésors de Champagne, a highly selective set of grower-producers entitled to produce a Special Club bottling—one of the greatest honors in Champagne.

Pertois-Moriset’s les Quatre Terroirs is a 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru sourced from the Côte de Blancs. Les Quatre Terroirs displays a deep golden yellow in the glass with amber flecks and a persistent stream of ultra-tiny bubbles. On the nose, this Grand Cru is entrancing, showcasing beautiful aromas of Mirabelle plum and Meyer lemon with a touch of freshly-baked Galette des Rois. The palate is incredibly delicate, balancing a wash of stone and citrus fruits with a silken texture and chalky minerality that carries through to its long, elegant finish. The perfect way to start an evening on its own, but absolutely delicious with shellfish: oysters, shrimp cocktail or steamed lobster tails.
