Champagne Diebolt-Vallois is based in the Grand Cru village of Cramant in the heart of the Côte des Blancs in Champagne. The thin, chalky soils of the region are ideal for Chardonnay, and it is here where Diebolt-Vallois work their magic with this noble varietal. The winery and vineyards are mostly in Cramant, although the family also has vineyards in the esteemed villages of Chouilly, Cuis and Epernay. Jacques Diebolt has been making Champagne at Diebolt-Vallois since 1959, when he was only 17 years old! Today, his son and daughter, Arnaud and Isabelle, help run the estate. They are deeply involved in all aspects of farming and winemaking, from walking the vines together to cleaning out tanks to tasting and selecting the wines for the final blend. This is truly a family effort from vine to glass that results in one of the top artisanal estates in all of the Côte des Blancs region of Champagne.
This Rosé Champagne is very fine, lively and aromatically intense. Produced from single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, it is bolstered by the addition of some Grand Cru Pinot Noir from the Bouzy region of Champagne. The fruit is spectacular, pristine and vibrant, brimming with aromas and flavors of fresh red cherry and raspberries. Absolutely stunning!
