Domaine Jaume Altitude 420 2022

Richard Jaume is one of the rising stars in the southern Rhône valley. His winery has been family-owned and operated since 1905. The Jaume estate encompasses 50 hectares of selected vineyard land in and around the hamlet of Vinsobres, in the southern Rhône Valley. The vines have been tended naturally for 50 years. Expert farming and immaculate, careful, winemaking ensure the Jaume style: aromatic and racy with powerful, pure fruit.

Domaine Jaume's vines are planted on a mix of clay-limestone and clay, sand and silt soils. The Altitude 420 is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah grown in the eponymous single vineyard in Les Collines. One-third of the wine is matured in old barriques, the remaining two-thirds in stainless steel. The resultant wine is aromatically intense with a firm fruit core and solid mineral backbone. Enjoy with grilled lamb seasoned with lavender.
