Flying Cloud is the second label of Stephen Ross, run by Stephen Ross Dooley and his wife, Paula, launched in 2003. These wines came about from a realization that there is a market for excellent, value-driven wines. The name "Flying Cloud" is an homage to Ross's upbringing in Minnesota and is the name of a small airport in Eden Praire, MN.
The Flying Cloud Sauvignon Blanc is from fruit grown in California's Edna Valley. One-third of the grapes are fermented in neutral oak barrels, two-thirds in stainless steel tanks. Brilliant pale straw in appearance. The nose exudes lime zest, sweet pea, citrus blossom, and a hint of crusty baguette. On the palate the wine is smooth and seamless with gentle acidity and lingering green citrus zest and honeysuckle flavors on the finish. Enjoy with shaved radish, lentil and mint salad.

Earthy aromas of dried grass meet with hints of lime and apple flesh on the nose of this bottling. The palate is bright and lively with candied apple flavors that are surrounded by hints of damp earth.
