Muse Vintage Wines is the project of Phillipe Gayral and his wife, Sandrine, founded in 2005. Phillipe spent years working for a co-op in Roussillon where he would visit many small family estates and uncover the personal reserves of the family's best fortified wines they kept in barrel for themselves. Over the past 20 years Phillipe and Sandrine began buying these very special barrels, building up the largest collection of French Vin Doux Naturels in the world. Working with the French Government and authorities, the Gayrals access all the relevant information for each wine they release, allowing them to correctly identify the family, origin and vintage from where the barrels came. The wines are bottled on the Gayral estate and cover wine from Rivesaltes, Banyuls and Maury from the years 1909 to 1985. These are the most underappreciated treasures of all French wine.
