Domaine Denis Carré is a new domaine by Burgundian standards. Denis Carré founded his estate in 1975 when he rented a parcel of vines and produced three barrels of Passetoutgrain. Each year thereafter, Denis worked to add vineyards and produce more wine, until he was able to build a winery and establis 13 hectares of his own vines spread over eight appellations. Today, his children, Martial and Gaetane, are running the domaine, looked over by Denis and his wife Bernadette. They produce 12 different wines from sustainably farmed vines, all of which are hand harvested.
