Château La Grolet is a biodynamic estate located in the Bourg-Côtes de Bordeaux region, consisting of 50 hectares, 38 of which are planted to vines, the rest being meadows, forests, and wetlands. The vines are planted on a top soil of gravel with a base of clay and silt to a proportion of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Malbec. The wines undergo a spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast in temperature controlled tanks. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrel and given a light filtration before bottling.
Châtea La Grolet's Bourg-Côtes de Bordeaux is an incredibly complex wine with deep red fruit flavors and a strong minerality. Soft tannins and a broad acidity give the wine an incredible elegance not always associated with the wines of Bourg. Enjoy with roasted rib steak.
