Sociedade Agrícola Boas Quintas was founded in Portugal's Dão region, in 1991, by Nuno Cancela de Abreu, whose family has been farming and making wine for over 130 years. In 2010, Boas Quintas expanded its reach by focusing of producing wines in other Portuguese regions like Bucelas, Peninsula de Setúbal, Alentejo, Porto and Douro. Today, the company looks to honor the individual terroir of each region and its grape varietals and styles while producing wines that speak of their origin and showcase each appellation's high quality wines.
Morgado de Bucelas is made from 100% Arinto that is fermented in stainless steel and aged in tank for 3 months with regular stirring of the fine lees. Light lemon, almost water-white color with expressive aromas of fresh citrus, green apples and wet rocks. The palate is light, bright, fresh and persistent with a lovely mineral edge to complement the zesty acidity. Enjoy on its own as an apéritif or with light salads or seafood.
