Weingut Stephan Steinmetz - Elbling Crémant Blanc

Stephan Steinmetz took over his six hectare family estate in the Mosel in 1992, when he was only 22 years old. Today, along with his wife, Petra, and two young children, the Steinmetz family make a range of enticing dry and sparkling wines from Elbling, Weissburgunder and Grauburgunder. All vineyard work is done by hand with great attention to detail and a respectful approach to nature. The wines are vinified and aged in stainless steel. In both the vineyard and the cellar, Stephan and family intervene as little as possible while working as sustainably as they can. These wines are literally hand made. The results are some truly stunning wines and incredible values in the Mosel.

Tiny bubbles create a soft persistent mousse. This sparkler offers a bright bouquet of white orchard fruit tinged with hints of white blossoms and sea spray. The palate is crisp with a focused acidity that channels flavors of just-ripe pear and green apple across the tongue. This invigorating crémant possesses a vibrant, saline-laced finish.
