Osmote Wine - Cabernet Franc 2023

Osmote Wine Company was founded in 2014 by Finger Lakes native Ben Osmote. After graduating from Cornell University with a technical winemaking degree, Ben gained experience working across the globe (France, New Zealand, Australia, Chile and California) before returning home. Today, he and his wife Brittnie own a 31-acre farm overlooking Seneca Lake, where they have been working to prepare the land for vines which they plan to farm with holistic vineyard management. Ben sources Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Marquette and DeChaunac, crafting elegant wines that speak to their Finger Lakes origins.

The Osmote Cabernet Franc displays a light ruby red color, offering high-toned aromas of bright red berry fruits infused with notes of purple flowers and dried herbs. The palate is delicate showcasing crunchy red berry flavors accented with black pepper. There is a lovely marriage of lively acidity and soft tannins that carries you to a scrumptious finish. This wine can be enjoyed with a slight chill. Pair with charcuterie or burger night.
