Domaine Vavril - "Cuvée Montessuy" Beaujolais-Villages 2023

Domaine de Vavril is located in Beaujolais, on an historic property that dates back to the Middle Ages. The estate has 10.5 hectares of vineyards in Beaujolais-Villages, Régnié, Côte de Brouilly and Morgon, making wine primarily from Gamay, but also Chardonnay. All fruit is hand-harvested and fermented in the traditional manner, producing bright, fruity wines that are as charming as they are accessible.

The Cuvée Montessuy is made from 100% Gamay grown in the granite soils of the region. Deep cherry color with violet highlights, emitting aromas of currants, strawberries and a stony earthiness, this beautifully structured and fresh Beaujolais-Village is best enjoyed with charcuterie, pâté or white-rind cheeses like Brie or Camembert.
