Domaine Vavril - "Cuvée de l'Heronde" Côte-de-Brouilly 2022

Domaine de Vavril is located in Beaujolais, on an historic property that dates back to the Middle Ages. The estate has 10.5 hectares of vineyards in Beaujolais-Villages, Régnié, Côte de Brouilly and Morgon, making wine primarily from Gamay but also Chardonnay. All fruit is hand-harvested and fermented in the traditional manner, producing bright, fruity wines that are as charming as they are accessible.

Domaine de Vavril's Cuvée de l'Heronde is made from 100% Gamay from the Cru of Côte-de-Brouilly in Beaujolais. The wine shows a lovely crimson color with aromas of iris flowers, fresh strawberries and blueberries. The palate showcases an incredible balance of tannins, acidity and flavor concentration that is approachable now, but still has the stuffing to age in bottle for a further 5 years.
