Domaine Paul et Marie Jacqueson - "Les Champs Martin" Mercurey Premier Cru Rouge 2020

The small domaine of Henri and Paul Jacqueson had been the jewel of Rully for a considerable time. Paul Jacqueson followed in his father Henri’s footsteps, keeping the Burgundian village of Rully firmly on the viticultural map in the excellent value area of the Côte Chalonnaise. Today, Paul continues to push the envelope of quality, a feat of well over 50 years. His daughter Marie now joins him in the vineyards and winery, after completing her studies in the renowned viticultural school in Beaune. Paul is known for an almost obsessive, meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the domaine, a trait which he is passing down to Marie.

Les Champs Martin Rully Premier Cru is made from 100% Pinot Noir. The vineyard is a mix of clay and limestone planted in 1960. The wine is ripe and concentrated with rich, luxurious tannins and a chalky mineral finish.
