Domaine des Terres de Chatenay - "La Cuvée de Béracius" Mâcon-Villages Blanc 2025

Domaine des Terres de Chatenay is a 10-hectare estate located in the town of Pérrone in southern Burgundy. The property is run by the husband and wife team of Jean-Claude and Marie-Odile Janin. They practice non-interventionalist farming on 40-65 year old Chardonnay vines grown in limestone and siliceous soils.

The Cuvée de Béracius is textbook old-vine Chardonnay. The wine displays a beautiful light gold color in the glass with silver highlights. Aromas of white orchard and citrus fruits tantalize the senses mixed with notes of white flowers. The palate is textured and concentrated, offering flavors of Bartlett pear, green apple and quince. The Cuvée de Béracius possesses an intriguing richness that persists through to its long, fresh finish. Can be paired with most fish or poultry dishes. Try it with a fried flounder sandwich or chicken piccata.
