Situated at the foot of the Luberon mountains in the picturesque village of Oppède, Domaine de la Royère has been a family-owned estate since 1988, when Anne and Jean-Pierre Hugues helped establish one of the region's pioneering independent wineries. Today, approximately 40 hectares of organically farmed vineyards thrive on sandy, stony soils beneath the cooling influence of the surrounding massif, producing wines that capture the freshness and aromatic character of this distinctive Provençal landscape. The estate cultivates a diverse range of traditional Rhône and Mediterranean varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault for the reds and Vermentino (Rolle), Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Clairette and Ugni Blanc for the whites, allowing each grape to reflect the character and versatility of the Luberon appellation. Certified organic since 2020, Domaine de la Royère is committed to preserving the biodiversity of the Luberon through thoughtful, sustainable farming. Beyond the vineyards, the family also honors Provence's olive-growing heritage, cultivating olive groves and operating an olive mill and museum that celebrate the region's enduring agricultural traditions.

Royère’s Luberon blanc — a blend of Vermentino, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne — pours a captivating pale gold with delicate green reflections. The nose opens with aromas of white peach, ripe pear, citrus blossom and lemon zest, underscored by hints of fresh herbs and crushed stone. The palate is crisp and beautifully textured, balancing juicy orchard fruit with lively acidity and a distinct mineral streak that carries through to a clean, refreshing finish accented by notes of citrus and Mediterranean herbs. An ideal companion for seafood… oysters, shrimp, grilled sea bass or pan-seared halibut, though equally delicious alongside a goat cheese and vegetable tart, salads dressed with citrus vinaigrette, asparagus and pea risotto or herb-roasted chicken.
