Domaine Bott Frères is located in the village of Ribeauvillé, in the heart of Alsace. Since 1835, some of the oldest wine know-how has been transmitted from generation to generation; father to son. The Bott family does not manufacture wine, it cultivates it. On the estate's vineyards, seven varieties are grown and produced in a wide array of soils and the subsequent wines made in a range of styles. The grape harvest is undertaken manually and the output is monitored in order to produce high quality wines. Aging takes place in century old oak casks. The results are some of the most food friendly and distinctive wines from Alsace. The estate has been certified organic since the 2022 vintage.
The Q.V. Paul Crémant d’Alsace Brut from Domaine Bott Frères is bright and inviting, with a fine, persistent mousse and an expressive bouquet of white flowers, fresh citrus, and orchard fruit. On the palate, lemon and green apple mingle with pear and subtle brioche notes, while a delicate creaminess gives the wine surprising breadth without sacrificing its lively freshness. Made from Auxerrois and aged for at least 12 months on the lees, the wine is finished zero dosage, leaving less than one gram of residual sugar and allowing its clean, mineral character to shine. Its combination of freshness, finesse, and understated richness makes it an especially versatile sparkler, equally at home alongside oysters and shellfish, smoked salmon, goat cheese or a savory Alsatian tart.
